James Lord, Landscape Partner at HTA Design, and David Mooney, Director of Development at London Wildlife Trust, spoke with Isabel Allen from Architecture Today as part of their Habitat Matters podcast series.
James and David spoke about the award winning project; Cator Park and how the collaboration came into fruition. They both also speak about the beginning of the project where they surveyed the community about the space and how they would use it.
The community are now enjoying connecting with the natural world at Cator Park and people are stopping and enjoying that space now.
James Lord: “It was a pretty tight brief, it wasn’t just to create biodiversity net gain but it was also to create a place that the community is really going to value and going to take pride in on their doorstep. It was a really good collaborative project.”
